This is APDC # 015: Icons and Icon Utilities
All the programs on this disk have been fully tested under
Workbench 1.2. Only some programs will work under WorkBench 1.1
In the directories Icons, More Icons, and Even More Icons
are dozens of excellent icon images for your use. Many of these
icons are animated double image icons. The Pointer Icons directory
contains some icons for your mouse pointer as well as a utility
to change the pointer from one icon image to another.
There are the following icon utility programs on this disk.
ZapIcon This program allows you to convert an IFF Brush
file (from DPaint) for example into an icon image.
This program is operated from the CLI. See the file
ZapIcon.Doc for help.
IconType This program allows you to change an icon's type.
This program is operated from the CLI. See the file
IconType.Doc for help.
SetAlternate This program allows you to concatenate a second image
onto an original icon image. The second image will
appear upon clicking once on the icon. This program
is operated from the CLI. See the file
SetAlternate.Doc for help.
BrushIcon This program is like ZapIcon but can be run from
the WorkBench. This program converts an IFF Brush
file into an icon image.
Iconify A fascinating icon demo program that creates an icon
on the screen that may then be manipulated and dragged
about. See Iconify.Doc for more information.
IconMaker A program to build icons for files that were created
without them.
XIcon This excellent utility allow you to run CLI commands
from the WorkBench screen using icons.
SiliCon An alternative CLI interface with shell and other
mouse operated features. To start from the icon make
sure this disk is named "APDC # 015" and not "copy of
APDC # 015" or something else.
